Dagobert's iPhone

For the Three Muses challenge

Dagobert was thrilled to receive an iPhone for Christmas; little did he realise he'd have to wait some 500 years before he could use it!!!

Stamp Man Award

To receive this award you have to post what you consider your favourite crafting project of 2009 which I found really difficult but as I only started doing digital work this year I decided that it would have to be one of my entries to the Three Muses challenges which have inspired me so many times.

So this is what I chose - the challenge was 'Long Ago and Far Away' and you can see all the credits here http://alis-space.blogspot.com/2009/10/unwelcome-guests.html

Summer's Gone

For the ACF challenge this week

We were given the gorgeous girl and I thought she looked as if she was remembering something. Was it the Summer or a lost love or someone just far away? Who knows?
Credit to Lorie Davison for her "Before The First Snow" kit for everything apart from the girl.

Christmas Spirit!

For the Three Muses and no, it's not whisky or brandy but Santa in a bottle.

Credits to Irene V. Alexeeva for the background and chest of drawers, to Jen Ulasiewicz for the bottle and jars, and to Yanna for all the Christmassy bits and pieces.

For St. Nicholas Day

The Sunday Postcard Art challenge is St. Nicholas

I found three very different images of Saint Nicholas - the original saint, the Dutch version whose name metamorphosed into Santa Claus, and the one we know now as Father Christmas to make three simple Post Cards.

Marilyn in Wonderland

ACF gave us a lovely image of Marilyn Monroe for this week's challenge #52
I was going to put her in a Christmas scene but as I'd just treated myself to a bumper bundle of 'Alice' kits from Irene Alexeeva I decided to use bits of them to create this.

Credit to Irene Alexeeva's 'Weird Wonderland' for everything apart from Marilyn's face.

Anyone for Croquet?

This week's challenge at Three Muses is 'Fun & Games' and that's exactly what I had!
For a  start I went completely mad and thought that I had read that the challenge was 'Keyholes' so I made this - a previously unknown Alice book by Lewis Carroll.

Credit to nicolefrancine on Flickr for the book cover and Google for 'Arthur Rackham's Alice' and the keyhole.

Then when I went to post it on Wednesday I realised my mistake so made this in a bit of a hurry

I found this lovely image by Norman Rockwell on the internet; I thought it was just perfect for the challenge and only needed a frame made for it which is what I did. That'll teach me to look before I leap!
