The challenge this week at Daring Cardmakers was to make an oriental card with no Black or Red in it and this is what I came up with.
The base card is dark brown, the image comes from Dover Publications '120 Japanese Prints' and is by Hokusai dated 1849 and titled 'Old Tiger in the Snow'. I made the backing papers in PSP and the embellishments (unfortunately Chinese and not Japanese) are all from my stash; the beads come from several bracelets I bought in various colours for next to nothing and these two colours toned beautifully with the tiger. The symbol is stamped in Stazon 'Timber Brown' so although it may look black it isn't!
This is very pretty!! Love your beads and your element design!! TFS!! :)
