Four corners and a Cornflower

For the challenge at Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog.

Stamps by ClarityStamp - the cornflower is 6.5 inches long and I couldn't find a block big enough so I put the stamp on my cutting mat and pressed the card onto it! I used Archival Ink in 'Plum' on dusky pink card, distressed the edges with the same ink before mounting it on more pink card which I had coloured slightly using the same ink on a piece of Cut 'n' Dry foam. The whole was then mounted on a dark red DL card.

Sweet & Sassy

Is the challenge at Ooh-la-la Creations and as my friend Anne is the new DT member there I thought I ought to give it a go!

You don't have to use one of their images but as they were very kindly offering some free downloads I took advantage and here it is.

I have used a sketch for a card swap on one of the forums I am a member of so I hope the recipient doesn't follow my blog!!

The image was a free download from the shop here and I used a K&Co paper matted onto one I created myself on the computer; the sentiment was also computer generated. The flowers are by Prima and the ribbon is from my stash. I just have to make an insert and it'll be ready for the swap.

Who wouldn't want legs like hers!!

George & Arthur's Inspirational People

For the Three Muses challenge this week.

These were George and Arthur's choices and although I might agree they were inspirational people I certainly don't agree with Arthur's reasoning as personally I hate pussycat bows.

Done in PSP with Googled images. Font Prissy Frat Boy.

Postcard Tag

For the challenge at DragonsDream Tag It On.

I printed this vintage postcard back on a piece of cream card and stamped it with pen, nib, inkwell, blotter, and frank stamps by Non Sequitur and a script stamp by Image Tree by EK Success using Archival Ink 'Sepia', Nick Bantock 'Charcoal Grey' and 'Lamp Black', and Distress Ink 'Tea Dye'. I did a little colouring with Copic Ciao pens and the final touch was a lovely elastic band courtesy of my postman who is incredibly generous with them - so much so that I have bags full of them!!!

Well here they are in their full glory for the challenge at Three Muses.

I was inspired to do this by one of my favourite songs and favourite pictures of my very favourite star - the late, great Fred Astaire.

All done in PSP as usual.

I combined the two in PSP with various filters, many layers and a few brushes.

Friends

For the challenge at Tuesday Taggers which is 'Give it Some Distress!'

I have used Distress inks in 'mustard seed', 'walnut stain', 'tea dye', and 'dusty concord' to create the background and splashed it with water. The image, a stamp also by Tim Holtz, was stamped using Nick Bantock ink in 'Lamp Black' and a little paper piecing done to bring out some parts of the image.
