Three Christmas Trees

For Crafty Ann's Challenge which is 'Black & White +1'

The card is actually white but the lighting has made it look yellowish. The base card is matt white and the decoupage layers were printed on satin paper and some red glitter added round the frame. The trees were actually designed by me and the colouring in was done digitally. The final touches are three gems on the tree stars and a tiny silver tree charm coloured a little with a Sakura metallic pen. The font is 'Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly'.

Albert's Little Problem

For the Three Muses Challenge this week

When I saw the challenge was 'Time' I almost immediately thought of Albert Einstein and his Theory of Relativity; not that I understand it at all!
Done in PSP with all images courtesy of Google.

Always in My Thoughts

For this week's Art Creations Friday challenge

ACF gave us the image of this beautiful girl. I thought she looked as if she was thinking of something sad so I gave her a fiancé fighting in the First World War to be thinking of and worrying about. And, of course, he will be thinking of her too.
Credits to Laurie Bavin & Kim Liddiard from www.digitalscrapbookplace.com for their Keys to the Past Page Kit  for various elements and background and to Google for the soldier.

Two Flappers

A digital ATC for the TMTA challenge

The original image was black and white so I added a few touches of red.

I Am Woman

For today's Mixed Media Monday challenge.
As soon as I saw this picture from The Sum of All Crafts  .....

...... I knew that she was a perfect image to represent 'I Am Woman'.
So I enhanced the colours a little

And then I framed her

And I think she speaks for herself so I didn't add anything else!

Arthur's Dream

For the Three Muses this week

Arthur's dream is to appear as Titania in 'Midsummer Night's Dream' with George as Bottom although Sidney's not too keen on appearing as Mustardseed.
'Who are you calling a fairy?' he says!

Goosey, Goosey, Gander

For the new challenge at Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog

For my nephew and his wife on their 5th wedding anniversary.
The decoupaged geese come from Joanna Sheen's 'Eastern Treasures' CDRom as does the main backing paper with the vertical column of geese. I made the other two papers using PSP. The embellishment is a white Chinese tassel and two Chinese coins.

I do make real cards sometimes!

And here are my most recent.
Firstly, three cards made at the Sheena Douglass workshop that I attended recently in Kettering

Then a Word Book for my great-niece's 6th birthday

And lastly, a birthday card for her mother whose birthday is the same day as hers!

Mama's Two Little Peaches

For the Three Muses Challenge this week.

No jokes this week! This lovely image is from a little Carte de Visite that I bought recently and I thought it was perfect for the challenge. I'm presuming the children are both girls although in the days when this photo was taken little boys were often dressed in what we now would consider to be girl's dresses so the smaller child could be a boy?
Credit to playingwithbrushes on Flickr. for the background.
