Postcard Tag

For the challenge at DragonsDream Tag It On.

I printed this vintage postcard back on a piece of cream card and stamped it with pen, nib, inkwell, blotter, and frank stamps by Non Sequitur and a script stamp by Image Tree by EK Success using Archival Ink 'Sepia', Nick Bantock 'Charcoal Grey' and 'Lamp Black', and Distress Ink 'Tea Dye'. I did a little colouring with Copic Ciao pens and the final touch was a lovely elastic band courtesy of my postman who is incredibly generous with them - so much so that I have bags full of them!!!

Girls

An arch for the challenge at Gothic Arches.

Backing paper from Crafty Individuals - I'm afraid I can't remember where the picture of the two little girls came from but I'd be really grateful if someone could remind me! Then I used some paper lace, a heart-shaped doiley tinted with a Copic marker and some 'Pearly Stuff' to create the finishing touches.

P.S. Thanks to Robin I now know where the girls came from - it was  ARTIVITY so thank you to Lorri Lennox for her generosity.

Daisy May in brown and pink

For Challenge #6 at Cute Daisy May.

Linnie was kind enough to give me a sheet of her lovely images and I used one of them for this card. Daisy May was coloured with Copic Ciao markers and I used a backing paper by K & Co and brown and pink card, ribbon, and sentiment from my stash.

I'm not a great one for doing cute cards so the opportunity to use not-so-cute colours was a welcome one!

Arch of Friendship

Here is my arch for my friend Cynthia's challenge as Guest Designer at Gothic Arches.(Click on the photo for a better view - it's not as dark as that in real life)

The challenge( in her words) was " ‘Inspired by the Rainbow’ Take only two colours from the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet), two rubber stamps and a Word of Inspiration’ and create something wonderful in your arch."

I took as my two colours Violet and Indigo. The base card is violet distressed slightly with Distress Ink 'weathered wood' and the stamps used were from a collage set by Butterfly Kisses stamped using Versafine 'Majestic Blue'.

I tinted the rose with a Copic marker and used a Spica pen to put a little glitter on the butterfly wings. The arch was finished off with two torn pieces of iridescent violet vellum and several violet gems.

Little flowers

These inchies are for the challenge at Small World of Inchies.

The little flower squares are part of a large stamp by Magenta which actually consists of 16 of these tiny images.

Stamped with Versafine 'Onyx Black' on mountboard, coloured with Copics and then clear embossed they look like tiny ceramic tiles although the photo doesn't really show this clearly.

Diamond Butterfly

I made this for the challenge at Sunday Stampers.

The stamp is by Elusive Images from their Butterfly Daisy Collage set. I used Versafine 'Majestic Blue' and did a little subtle colouring with Copics. I finished off with a diamond centre for each daisy and a little glitter pen on the butterfly's wings. The torn edges were distressed with the same Versafine ink on a piece of Cut-N-Dry foam.

I shall use it as a card topper at some stage in the future I'm sure.

A for Art

This is for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week and I used the second set of collage stamps by Butterfly Kisses for it. It also fits the challenge at Cupcake Craft.

I used Versafine 'Vintage Sepia'for the stamping, Dark Blue Sakura gel pen to accentuate the 'A' and a Copic Ciao marker to tint the butterfly and the flourish and to colour the torn edges. I ran a copper calligraphy pen round the edges of the dark blue card and added a skeleton leaf from my stash to represent the 'Nature' part of the sentiment.

Easter Duck

This time I have made a real card albeit tiny ( approximately 3" x 4") for the challenge at ABC .. E is for Easter.

I got the duck in a stamped image swap and thought he was ideal for this challenge.

He was coloured in with Copic Ciao markers and layered onto yellow card with the addition of some ribbon and a flower and brad from my stash. A tiny card maybe for a tiny person?

This card does for 3 challenges (so far!); those at TandaStamps, Challenge Wednesday and Soartful.

Sweetheart

I made this for the Art Creations Friday Challenge.

I took the given image and with PSP altered it to an infra red image.

I tinted her lips and eyes with Copic markers having resized the image so that it would fit in the frame which was stamped with Versamark  on lilac vellum and embossed with 'Guilded Ivory' EP by Sparkle N Sprinkle. The frame is really glittery in real life.

The stamp is by Joanna Sheen and is from the 'Frame - Brocade' set. The whole thing was then layered on to a piece of gold mirror board.

Teddy Love

This week's challenge at ATC Wednesday is 'Loved' and what could be more loved than this little girls' teddy?

The backing paper has been distressed, and the little heart (from PaperArtsy) stamped, with Versafine 'Vintage Sepia'. Some paper lace, coloured with a Copic marker, added to the corner and the final touch a little flower button with a bit of gold thread.

The Queen of Hearts

I'm afraid I've got a long way to go to catch up with Ann's 1 entry for 6 challenges but this one does for 4 and here goes:

Task Tuesday

Theme Thursday

This is a 4" x 4" and I used the same background as I did for 'B is for Butterfly'. I then stamped and embossed with Versamark and Stampendous Black detail embossing powder using 3 stamps from the 'Queen of Hearts' set from Elusive Images. The whole was matted onto black card and the final touches were little green gem stickers added to the border (which I had coloured with a Copic marker), to the queen's crown and the corners, and one black pearl to her cloak. The whole was matted onto black card.

B is for Butterfly

A double challenge here for both Theme Thursday and TGIF is met I hope with another example of my foray into the world of alcohol inks!

This time the colours used for the background are Adirondack 'Stream', 'Meadow', 'Lettuce' and Mixatives 'Silver'. The butterfly, from a set by 'Aspects of Design' by 'The Stamp Man', was embossed with Versamark and Moon Glow EP in 'Fiddlehead Fern'. Some lace from my stash was coloured with a Copic marker and the final addition was a little heart charm from my stash to which I added a little green with a Sakura metallic pen.

Japanese Kingfisher

This has been made for the Friday Sketchers Challenge #37

The kingfisher is from Dover Publications '120 Japanese Prints' CD-Rom & Book and the backing papers were made on PSP from the original image as were the plain blue and brown papers. I had some rather unpleasant yellow ribbon in my stash which I coloured with a Copic marker to match the card  and the other embellishments were 3 little Papermania brads and a metallic turquoise tassel also from my stash

Going round in circles

This is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

It's the first time I've ever made a circular card and I drew round a saucer for the basic card shape and then used some of my Nestabilities in my Cuttlebug to cut the smaller circles.

The little hedgehog is another one of the printed samples given me by Kath and I coloured it with Copic markers again. The 'Lots of Love' stamp was part of a freebie set from a craft magazine and I stamped it with Versafine 'Satin Red'. A little white ribbon bow and some sparkly dots finishes it off.

Little Angels

I though I'd try something different today so here,Ladies & Gentlemen, for your delectation my very first two Twinchies (which if you don't know are supposed to be little works of art which measure 2" x 2")!

The original stamp is by Crafty Individuals and has four little images on it so I stamped the whole and picked the two that 1. I liked and 2. had come out better. They were coloured in with Copic markers and the wings were sparkled with a Sakura clear glitter pen.

The 2" x 2" bases are black mountboard which I decorated with Radiant Rain Daubers in 'Majestic Blue', 'Snap Dragon' and 'Wine & Roses' before giving it a quick spray with Moon Glow Glitz Spritz in 'Scintillating Silver'.

The final touches were some twill word ribbon coloured with ink and two iridescent stones by Papermania.

Cat & Window

This ATC is for Rainbow Lady's challenge this week. I don't know why a window always seems to need a cat but then, in my opinion, everywhere needs a cat!

The image of the window is a download from Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps coloured in with Copic Ciao markers. The backing of bricks comes from Scrapbookscrapbook.com as does the little plank that the cat is sitting on. The cat itself, stamped once on the backing paper and then again on white card and mounted on a foam pad, is from Magenta stamps 'Whiskers the Cat sitting'.
