Ink Box

My first attempt at altering anything is this box for the challenges at Awfully Big Art Adventure and Lots To Do

I bought the box at Paperchase with very little idea as to what I was going to do with it but having realised that it was the perfect size for my Tim Holtz Alcohol inks -- what better to use to decorate it than the inks themselves; and then, of course, I had to get a picture or two of the man himself in there somewhere!

So that's it really -- alcohol inks, a few gems and peel-offs and a little charm all from my stash are what makes it what it is.

Someone asked the size of the box -- it is about the size of a shoe box.

Secrets

This granny is for the challenge at Art Creations Friday.

Entirely working with PSP I've cheered her up a bit, added some wording and a fancy frame.

Bella Donna

Another Da Vinci image from Dover Publications for this birthday card which is my entry into the challenge at The Pink Elephant.

I think she is beautiful and I tried to give her beautiful surroundings.

Da Vinci People

This set of ATCs is for Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week which is 'People'.

These are all from one Da Vinci drawing and I've divided them up to make these so that you can see them in their full glory (or horror for some of them!).

If there are any other challenges they fit I'll add them later.

C is for Cat

One little ATC does for 3 challenges, those at Charisma Cardz, Colour Create , and Cute Card Thursday.
The cat, from Anita's, was stamped with Stazon 'Stone Gray' on pink parchment card, layered on patterned paper by K & Co and then on a deep pink ATC. The final touches were some rub-on letters by Papermania and a little heart from my stash.

Hello Sailor

A silly little thing made with an image from Crafty Computer Paper with the help of My Craft Studio and PSP, he is for the challenge at Theme Thursday. Hopefully when I've gone a bit further in my PSP course I'll be able to do even more exciting things!

The Birds

This card does for 3 challenges (so far!); those at TandaStamps, Challenge Wednesday and Soartful.

I used a set of stamps from Elusive Images, stamped with Versafine 'Vintage Sepia'. The birds were coloured with Copic Ciao markers and the final touches were 4 different coloured brads and some rainbow ribbon from my stash to mirror the rainbow colours of the birds.

And now for something completely different....

These are for the challenge at One Stop Craft to make something Oriental.

Well, I was in town today and in John Lewis I saw some lovely beads which looked quite oriental so I thought 'Why not make some earrings?'.

Of course, never having made any before I had to buy all the findings as well but I had a bit of fun making them and I may even wear them some time, or they'll make a nice gift.

Here's looking at you!

This was created with the help of PSP and My Craft Studio for the challenge at Lots to Do and for that at Crazy Amigo.

I just thought that the being ( I was going to call her a girl but she has wings and black ones at that!) has the most beautiful eyes and would be perfect for the challenge.

E is for...

the challenge at Think Monday, Think ATC.

I wanted to do an elephant and as I couldn't find an image I liked I drew my own which probably shows why I don't often draw my creations!

He was coloured in with Copic Markers and a gold metallic pen. The letter E came from a set of letters I bought from Lakeland while they were still doing craft and was stamped in red ink from the set and decorated with the gold pen. I added a little elephant charm and some fancy ribbon from my stash to finish him off.

Anyone for tea?

This is for the challenge at Gothic Arches.

The main image is from Dover Publications  '120 Japanese Prints', the stamps are - for the background unknown and the other two are from a set by Kodomo and are 'Welcome Back' used twice and 'Learning from Bamboo'. Inks used Versafine 'Vintage Sepia' and Tim Holtz Distress Inks 'tea dye' and 'mustard seed' both for stamping and distressing.

Three Hearts are better than one.

These have been made for a forum swap 'All you need is love'.

The first is stamped (Stamp by PaperArtsy)and embossed with gold detail EP on a red card and embellished with German Scrap border and a tiny ornate gold heart; the second has a backing of gold embossed red vellum and a little wooden heart has been triple embossed with gold EP and a fancy stamp pressed in to it, finished off with fine gold ribbon and three little gems; and the third has a burgundy backing stamped and embossed with a large flourish stamp, another wooden heart, embossed with UTEE and gold and burgundy EPs,bound with gold cord; and the final touch a string of gold pearls and more german scrap.

You may have guessed that the remit was to use red and gold!

Fly me to the Moon

"and let me float among the stars" is what it says on the stamp I used to make this tag for the challenge at Ink on My Fingers.

The moon stamp is by Crafty Individuals and I used Versafine 'Majestic Blue' and holographic EP. For the tag I distressed it with the same Versafine, Tim Holtz Distress Ink 'weathered wood' and Encore Ultimate Metallic 'Silver' using some Cut n Dry Foam. The stamp I used for the backing was by Anita's and was stamped in 'weathered wood'. Three small charms attached with toning metallic thread was the final touch.

And now for something really silly!

This is my entry for the challenge at Awfully Big Art Adventure and is entitled 'Rock Star'.

Having spent ages in the garden trying to find a rock that wasn't the size of a small house and making a complete mess of the first one I found I decided to go for simplicity and just doodled some stars with Sakura metallic pens.

It's hardly a work of art but it was fun.

The four Maries

These twinchies (2" x 2") are for the challenge at Small World of Inchies & Twinchies.

Four pieces of ivory linen card stamped and distressed with Versafine 'Vintage Sepia' using a script stamp make unknown. I googled for the images and added some computer created words and a couple of embellishments from my stash.

It's quite a challenge working in such a small area but having done a few inchies (1" x 1") twinchies actually seem quite large!

Jewelled House

I made this little house for the challenge at Dans ma maison il y a .

I bought these little Indian gem embellishments over a year ago at the NEC Hobbycraft Fair and they inspired me to make the house look as it does.

The stamps used come from a set by Elusive Images 'Filigree Fusion' and the smaller one seemed the ideal shape for a rather exotic roof for my house. It was stamped in Versafine 'Vintage Sepia' and 'Satin Red' was used for the body of the house with the paisley backing stamp from the same set.

Some German Scrap borders, an edging with gold PenTouch, highlights using a gold Sakura Metallic gel pen, some fancy ribbon from my stash and the two jewels finish it off.

Sweetheart

I made this for the Art Creations Friday Challenge.

I took the given image and with PSP altered it to an infra red image.

I tinted her lips and eyes with Copic markers having resized the image so that it would fit in the frame which was stamped with Versamark  on lilac vellum and embossed with 'Guilded Ivory' EP by Sparkle N Sprinkle. The frame is really glittery in real life.

The stamp is by Joanna Sheen and is from the 'Frame - Brocade' set. The whole thing was then layered on to a piece of gold mirror board.

Tiny Cards

These two 'Moos' are for the challenge at Make a Moo or Two.

Just some little cards printed out, stuck on green card with PenTouch gold calligraphy pen run round the edges and hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades hand-drawn with Sakura metallic gold pen.

You need hands?

This card is for two challenges -- TGIF and My Time To Craft.

The stamps used are, for the central image 'Vintage Button Collage' by Hero Arts, for the frame round the image, the sentiment, and the watch face, from  a U-Mount set called 'Time' and, for the flourishes a selection of foam stamps by 'La Blanche' and an unmarked clear set. All were stamped using Versafine 'Vintage Sepia'.

I think I went a bit mad with the flourishes but it was fun -- and now I've started stamping there's no stopping me!

All that glitters

This roundel fits two challenges, those at  Wednesday Stamper and Pink Elephant.

I started with a circular piece of Stampbord which I embossed with UTEE and some gold and teal EP and while it was still hot I pressed a stamp by Elusive Images into it. I then added three drops made with beads from my stash which I think go with it well.

Just a bit hairy

This is for the challenge at ATC Wednesday.

The image is from Crafty Computer Paper and the embellishments are a cocktail stick with 3 little wooden beads and an oriental dragon charm.

Just a little love...

..this very little house is for the challenge at Dans ma Maison il y a .

It really is tiny - just 1" wide and 4" from top to bottom including the heart finial so it's almost a moo with a roof!

I did it in rather a hurry as the challenge is nearly ended and I didn't want to miss it so I'm not exactly thrilled with how it turned out but, hey ho, a challenge is a challenge!
